Meet the Managing Director Mr. Michael Mumba, founder and Managing Director of SOTRAD Limited as well as other sister companies grouped under MM Group, is a visionary entrepreneur committed to the fields of transport, logistics, international trade, and agribusiness. A graduate of the International University of East Africa, he has successfully leveraged his academic expertise and hands-on experience to build strong companies focused on growth and innovation. Under his leadership, SOTRAD Limited has established itself as a key player in transport and customs in East Africa and the Great Lakes region, with strategically located offices in Kampala (Uganda) and North Kivu (DRC). The company has also diversified into fish exports to Kinshasa and Dubai, as well as air shipments from Kinshasa, Dubai, China, Turkey, and Belgium to Uganda and Congo. A true visionary, Mr. Mumba believes in Africa’s sustainable development through entrepreneurship, by creating competitive local solutions capable of thriving in international markets. He is also pursuing investments in modern agriculture (tomato, onion, and ginger cultivation) to contribute to food security and the economic empowerment of local communities.
